Shit in one hand and wish in the other. See which ones fills up first. Flash mobile is vaporware as of yet. Nothing has it. You can make arguments that it is coming and that it is going to be great, but that's all conjecture at this point. jra…

I'd be happy to buy that - I'd love a portable workstation. Maybe an 18.6" or 19.4" screen? Dual graphics cards - can be run in SLI mode. Dual Harddrives for striped RAID. Yep, I'd be all over that like a soccer coach and your step-sister.

Heh... same machine as , kinohistoria, and same scenario too... two bulging batteries. Both of mine bulged on the bottom so it made the whole laptop sit lopsided on a desk... Apple immediately replaced both of them even out of warranty. I now ha…

Thumbnail works for me... although you have to go to one of the sites that is pre-designated in the preferences. You can add a wildcard though like: http://* which will make almost any site work.

newegg.com Only place I buy anything online anymore. They're awesome.

I'm actually planning on using an original mbp to power my home theater - coupled with an AppleTV. I've got mine connected using dvi to vga - but I'm looking at an DVI > HDMI cable soon.. which I think is the best way to do this.

I dunno... I've got a TC and an airport extreme running a dedicated N network in my house. I've also got an older Airport basestation and 1st gen airport express running a G network for things like my phone, appletv, home stereo, etc.. Everything…

solipsism, the prices I quoted were for ddr2 5300 ram, not the new stuff in the new books. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231202 So, again, I stand by my claim that maxing out the ram is more than worth the price of admission h…

I have already upgraded my early 2008 17" MBP up to 6gb. It's wonderful. No more pageouts! I got my 4gb chip for $150 bucks from NewEgg and my 2gb chip for $50 - so total was $200 bucks. The ram is the same timing as the original Apple ram and…

I know there is a express card that will give you dual monitor capabilities on a macbook pro... but they are not cheap (if I remember correctly, about $250) It supposedly will allow you to power two 30" cinema displays though.. (which was why I w…

Can you please change mine to "iFlyHighByTai" ? Thanks!

May want to look into squaretrade, instead... a lot cheaper, and gets a lot of good reviews... they'll also cover(a bit extra) accidental damage which Applecare will definitely not. I'm about to try them myself, for a new laptop purchase just mad…

By the way, I just put my money where my mouth is: I refuse to pay Apple for their current offerings - so instead, just 20 minutes ago, I purchased a brand new, sealed-box 2.6ghz 17" Penryn high res MATTE finish on Ebay for $2299.00. When Ap…

I've all but given up on Apple for now... until they right the ship and get back to appealing to pros again, not only with screens and ports, but all things in general. They just seem to not care about the pros who are in the trenches and use th…

There isn't any firm dates. It's based on availability only. Apple will not allow for its employees to buy something that is in demand by customers and that stock is not high enough to fill that demand. Plain and simple. In my experience, this is…
