  • Congress running out of time on its Big Tech antitrust bill

I don't know anyone who supports this bill. There are no monopolies in Big Tech that even approach the market dominance of old line companies like Standard Oil or Bell Telepohone. Or Big Government.
Exactly! If they go after big tech for pushing their own products, Congress needs to go after every company in the USA because they all do the same thing.

  • Goldman Sachs credit card practices under investigation by US watchdog

I almost always pay off my Apple Card monthly but I don't believe we're charged interest as long as we pay something. I could be wrong but I thought this is the way it's done. I know I'm not paying interested when buying Apple products on a 1 or 2 year purchase agreement.

  • Apple is just getting started with Apple Silicon

Since Apple now has its own USB-4/Thunderbolt chip does this mean they could design and manufacture external storage devices using the same chip design? I know there are plenty of third party enclosures but I’m sure most use Intel chips. With the Mac Pro coming, I could see an external RAID with Apple chips (SSD and RAID controller) being driven by multiple USB-4/TB ports to achieve ridiculous storage speeds for professional use. No third party chips needed.

  • Apple lifts mask mandate for corporate employees

So will Apple respect employees’ desires to work in a masked environment, or work from home if that’s not possible at their location?
I'm sure Apple will allow employees to wear masks while at Apple's headquarters but working from home will only work for certain job types.

With the continuous flow of new strains of COVID and with boosters coming out on a regular basis (just like flu shots), I believe we're just going to have to live with COVID, booster shots and getting COVID. I haven't gotten it but people I know who wear masks and distance themselves are finally getting it but with boosters they're dealing with it like having a cold or flu.

Working from home full time is not realistic for the majority of Apple employees. If that is what they need, a secretive hardware based innovation dependent company like Apple is probably not a good fit for them.
I agree. Sometimes the only place to work for certain employees is at the company's building where everything is located. It doesn't work to try and outfit every employee's house with enough corporate hardware to allow them to do everything.
