  • Russia finds Apple guilty of ordering iPhone price fixing with local retailers

Me thinks that the Russian government is being less than honest about these charges. In truth, accurate acronym for the agency unhappy with the dealings of Apple is most likely the FSB, Russian Security Services, not the the FAS. Likely that Apple has not been quite compliant enough with the internal/external spy agencies.

  • Rumor: Apple to debut 10.5-inch iPad Pro at special event in early April

I have both the iPad Pro 9.7 & 12.9 w/keyboard and pencil. They are both robust and fantastic tools and have enjoyed the use of these tremendously. I can't imagine how they will continue to improve these tablets. I look forward to the reveal, I'm sure they must have some great innovation to add.
on the new speculated size, 10.5" with a decrease in the Bezel dimension. It will be interesting to hear what people think of the smaller bezel for art and design with the pencil. Unless Apple has designed in a better way to,subtract finger/hand or palm replication while using the pencil, the thinner bezel might detract from the user experience for that segment. I find the present bezel dimension ideal for that use.

  • Analyst predicts weak demand for Samsung Galaxy S8, suggests focusing on Apple OLED 'iPhon...

The manufacturing/design/QC/recall fiasco of the Note 7 is a significant headwind to Samsung into the future. Another maelstrom is now in play for Samsung throughout their corporate dealings, in that Chinese government and citizens have decided to put Samsung in a well deserved time out. In 2015 for example, Samsung smartphones saw a 50% decrease, well before China chimed in on their dislike of THAAD deployment in South Korea or the Note 7 debacle.
If other ongoing wounds, pay to play scandal w/ SK government, are added to their woes, it seems possible that Samsung may be being dealt a series of mortal wounds to its corporate health.
maybe if that comes to fruition, they will reconsider the corrupted corporate philosophy which has not served them, customers or the citizens of South Korea well.
    not likely!

  • Apple an 'antifragile monopoly,' more secure than critics believe, analyst claims

Huawei and ZTE cannot be trusted to be free of foreign state influence and thus pose a security threat to the United States and to our systems.'

I had to smile when I saw that, as the same could be said by the Chinese government about some US companies

in my opinion, Apple has likely given mightily within China, to satisfy their unquenched need for information on the internal and external goings on.

just as was implied in earlier discussions, there is an entry fee to play in that market.

the question for me is, do we passively allow this proactive intrusion beyond Chinese domain by using their spy portal into servers, phones and the like?

as you mentioned, apparently so, Europe and also Canada seem to be ok with these products as well.

Clearly, Avon B7 you are a knowledgeable individual in this realm from your many reasoned comments. And while Huawei may be a user friendly experience with advanced tech, in your opinion. My overriding concern is with security with and Huawei or LTE product.
China always has it eye on the prize, and one prize is embedding assets and mutiple 'seeing glass' into America the West in general and its secrets.
