National emergency alert test will affect all U.S. iPhones on Wednesday
chadbag said:These are not just for nuclear attack. Could be zombie infestations or other nationwide emergencies. But for the person who asked what you’re supposed to do if a nuclear missile is headed es your way, hide under your desk?
yes that would probably be a reasonable thing to do. Preferably in a basement. It is unlikely that the missile is headed directly for you, and if you are far enough away and with enough barriers between you you’ll probably survive, as long as the house doesn’t fall on you. Which is why you hide under the desk. -

National emergency alert test will affect all U.S. iPhones on Wednesday
This has been a test of our National Emergency Alert system. For more information, tune in to CONELRAD at 640 & 1240 on your AM radio dial. If this were an actual event, you would have been instructed to head for the nearest fallout shelter. Most schools, hospitals and many commercial buildings are fully prepared with shelter, air filters, food, plumbing and water for a minimum of one month. If you're still alive. -
Developers take note: Apple Silicon is required to develop apps for visionOS
Of course they'll drop support for Intel. The VP is revolutionary, and was no doubt mostly developed on Apple Silicon computers, built to take advantage of Apple M-Series processors' unique code. It's also a high-end product, with a price to match. Allowing developers to sell dated or ported apps on the App Store would not be of merit to the Apple Brand. The most valuable brand in the world; by about $500 billion. -
