I put all the parts from the G5 into a box and gave it to my friend. He was rather happy. I think he is going to try to install them into his G3 - I hope he's successful
hahahahahaha what an idiot... i want to meet this guy and slap him in the face...
"Before installing the board, I had to cut out a section of the case for the ATX panel. The power supply had to be removed; it was hidden away under the lower panel. I installed in an ATX supply with Velcro. When I showed my friend, who happens to love Apple, he looked sick. He did not say anything to me. He just put his hands on his head and was in shock. I wish I had a picture of that."
Man, at first i might have thought all this was a joke.. but jsut look at the pictures.. man oh man.. i mean.. are pc users stupid or what...

I was refering to his friend... after he finds out that you cant do much with G5 parts (like the mobo and cpus) in his G3 box.
Nice backtrack.
what an idiot!
Well, I guess it's possible.
Makes me want to replace the innards of my G5 with those from a 286 and run RedHat on it for kicks!
Edit: Okay... I just read it. He gave them away...

It's official: PC d00dz are clueless, classless gits.
Screed ...who was the blessed, right-hearted, wrong-headed relative that gave that monkey a G5!?
His parents payed $3000 for a case!
I can't imagine how spoiled this kid must be if he's perfectly ok with destroying that once proud machine.

I feel so bad for that G5...

RedHat will not run on a 286.
On a 386, however, it will... but that would be soooo slow.
