I wonder if the fact that almost everyone is ordering the 24" iMac with the 7600GT will lead Apple to offer it as a standard configuration?
-
Probably only room for the much thicker 2Gb so-dimm in the top slot, they are stacked like a laptop I believe.
-
Surely it will be new (completely new design) Macbook Pro's with Core 2 Duo, plus all the other stuff, and maybe something new? iMac - done Mac mini - done Mac Pro - brand new and only just shipping Macbook Pro- not changed much in 9 months ma…

24" has an option for Nvidia 7600GT, looks like decent gaming on an iMac at last.

UK Apple store back up with 24" iMac and updatd minis, now 1.66 and 1.83 Core Duos and price drop.

The thing I really like about apple going intel is it will impossible to prevent processor upgrades (from within the same family of CPU's) in the towers. Who knows, Apple might themselves offer upgrades down the line?

I think now the Edu only iMac is out the iMac will go 20" and 23" next release. And Conroe is 65w TDP yes? This should be easy for the iMac to disapate. I really hope they do go for a 23" iMac with i965 chipset, decent graphics (nvidia 7600gs) and …

I cant believe this thread still rumbles on... Anyway, I agree that the Mac Pro will not have more HD bays, or at least probably only 3 or MAYBE 4. It would be useful for Video and audio to have 3 HD internally.

The Samsung 215TW just got a really good review here http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=3081 I think I am finally ready to go widescreen.

Just went to the Dell Site, a new precision 690 workstation with 2x 2.66Ghz woodcrest (quad cpu), 2Gb FB-DIMM, 250Gb HD and Superdrive, with a low-end quadroFX card (550) comes to $3500 with no monitor. Ship date (estimated) is July 12th. So if app…

But there will be plenty of FCP/Logic users waiting to jump on a Mac Pro quad (like me for example)
-
Again (for the 3rd time in this thread) - The Mac Pro Will use Woodcrest and the Blackford workstation Intel Chipset. - At least 2 models will be Quad, if not all. - Apple will announce them sometime this month (June) shipping July. WWDC is TO…

err shouldn't the debate in this thread be more about how Apple got this so wrong? why they changed their minds so fast after making a big deal out of it? seems like some poor business decisions going down at the top at Apple. I know every company m…

yep I cant see you getting your hands on the Merom powered MBP before September. So if thats too late I'd consider buying soon, after all they have just been updated again. BTW, people with access to pre-release ES versions of Merom chips have alr…

I'm going to out on a limb here and say that Apple want to make a huge impact with the Intel Mac Pro, I predict - A new case - ALL QUAD 2.33/2.66/3.0 Ghz all on 1333Mhz FSB - wider range of pro graphics BTO - new line of Cinema displays to matc…

many rumor sites are now saying woodcrest is due June 19th. I think the Mac pro will appear before WWDC.
-
The spamming level on AI isn't really that bad, thanks god. Anyway back on track... WTF is Woodcrest?? only a few weeks away from the launch date and nothing has leaked out at all. All the hype and rumors have been about Core 2 (Conroe and Merom) bu…
