Apple's next-generation 'CarPlay Ultra' is finally here
I doubt CarPlay Ultra will be available on any car other than very expensive ones in the next 10 years. EVs might take a chance with these but all the current ones already have invested tons of money on their own digital dashboard, which is what CarPlay Ultra is. Tesla isn't going to use this and might be out of business because of insane management. GM and Ford might end up using China as their manufacturer and Chinese cars have already created their own digital system. I could see every car manufacturer continuing to use the simple, current Car Play. I might be wrong but I can't see anything happening with general vehicle manufacturers any time soon. They have to worry about tariffs and their ability to stay in business. -
Meta reignites its fight with Apple over platform power & developer freedom
Apple builds the computer platform and all these software people feel it's their right to use and abuse it. AFAIC, Apple should buy certain software companies and lock out every other software vendor. This way, they aren't playing favorites. All the software companies need to do is manufacture computer products for their software. Oh, wait, they don't know how to do that and only want to sue Apple to abuse Apple's systems without paying for anything. Of course that sounds like the right thing to so--NOT! -

iPhone blamed for including journalist in highly classified bombing plans

This doesn't mean our government is still using Blackberry phones but they continue to use Blackberry backend systems. There needs to be an official investigation of the entire Signal chat session using non-government inspectors. We all know the current DOJ will not investigate anything trump, et al., are doing so we need a third-party organization to do it. There are non-government organizations with Top Secret access who regularly monitor government organizations. One of these needs to investigate everything that happened so Americans know how stupid our current administration is. -

AppleInsider said:The current administration is not the only one to have relied on Signal. The Biden administration also used it, because the government does not have its own system and Signal is considered one of the most secure messaging platforms.
